Making space for community

Conversations Chapters

Conversation Groups are led by at least two committed individuals who create a consistent space for creatives to connect and grow. Conversations meet on the 1st and 3rd weeks of each month at a regular time and location. Meetings are centered around meaningful conversations inspired by scripture, fostering a sense of purpose and belonging.

How to Start a Chapter

How to Start a Chapter •

I.
Leadership

You don’t need to be an expert or have prior leadership experience—just a willingness to create a welcoming environment and follow the provided guide.

Conversation Groups thrive under the leadership of passionate individuals who:

  • Value connection: Have a heart for building relationships and fostering community.

  • Appreciate creativity: Are inspired by the intersection of faith and creativity.

  • Commit to consistency: Can dedicate time to hosting meetings twice a month.

Chapters are required to have 2 leaders. There is indeed power in numbers. This helps foster accountability and collaboration. Practically, this is helpful for ensuring a leader is always present when sickness or travel occur.

II.
Location

This is the easiest (and most overthought) part of Chapters. Okay, it is important. Below are considerations to make when choosing:

Local: Meet near your home, work, or a central location for you and your co-leader. Consider how weather, traffic, and parking could impact attendees.

Vibe: Is this a welcoming space? Ensure attendees feel welcome into the space whether it is a private office, public space, or church.

Quite(ish): Chapters surround conversation and prayer so finding a space where you can hear each other is important. This can vary with your group and size.

Food/Drink: Coffee shops, restaurants, and bars are popular meeting places because they offer refreshments without requiring them.

III.
Community

If location feels difficult, community may seem impossible. I have a heart for creatives, but who do I invite and how do I invite them when I don’t even know what to expect yet? Let me remind you of who you are:

Faithful: Creating space and community for creatives in your area isn’t easy, but it’s also bigger than you. If this is something on your heart walk in confidence.

Passionate: Charisma helps, but that’s not passion. Passion persuades and a vision for creatives meeting, connecting, and inspiring one another... Wow!

Encouraging: Creatives need other creatives. The main purpose of Created is to encourage one another into what God has in store. Read Hebrews 10:24-25.

Creative: Creatives see things differently. What kind of vision has God equipped you with to share with others? Haven’t received it yet? Try this practice.

This is the part where we’d like to encourage you. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them.” Today, gatherings can be reduced to a numbers game, but deep relationships seldom come from large gatherings. You should proceed with confidence and expectation whether your Chapter averages 2 or 20.

IV.
Conversation

Each meeting follows a simple structure:

Connection: Start with casual conversation and community building.

Reflection: Read and reflect on a scripture passage.

Discussion: Share insights and discuss how the passage applies to personal and professional life.

Prayer: Close by praying for one another.

Check out our discussion guides here. We want to make starting a chapter as easy as possible. Get creative people in your area together, start conversations around scripture and its application to life and watch God do amazing things.
